Julie Pepper is a mother, artist , farmer, yogini and a holistic practitioner. Raised in Massachusetts on an organic farm, Julie raised her son with those same skills. With the seasons they are still practiced: growing and preserving food and medicine for family and friends .  As an artist and painter her primary images are of the mystic. Using earth friendly pigments the images are of meditation, dancing,  yoga , movement, nature, joy and transformation.

It is always a good chore to slow down, write and read what we have been doing.  I am in great gratitude to have a rounded and full life.  I give thanks to the teachers, friends and family and to all our ancestors.  Like many of us my family has roots here before we were "America."  On another branch of the tree I have a grandparent that fled war to come here as an immigrant. We are no strangers to starting over and this becomes part of the great journey.  Yoga is the great unifier and teacher; it all comes out in the wash so they say. I give thanks that we are thriving and healing, and our creative time is ample. Thank you for the education, this quote always comes to mind:

"I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.”  John Adams
